cMoe offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities: preparing crafts, cleaning exhibits, guiding field trips, greeting visitors, engaging kids in playtime. cMoe volunteers have a blast and help us meet our mission!
Volunteers
All individual cMoe volunteers must complete a volunteer application. Completed volunteer applications and waivers may be emailed directly to [email protected] or brought in to our front desk during normal business hours.

Volunteer applications and waivers are available for pick-up at the Children's Museum during regular hours of operation
Volunteers that work directly with the public are required to meet with a volunteer coordinator for a brief orientation. This include summer camps, spring break camps, in-person educational programming, etc.
Early Learners Academy Volunteer Description
The Early Learners Academy (ELA) is an 8-week series of classes utilizing the "Creative Curriculum" educational and family engagement materials. This program provides 10-15 three to five year old children learning experiences focused on Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations. These Foundations include acquiring: language and communication skills; early reading and writing skills; math, science & social studies skills; social/emotional skills; Creative Art and Play and Learning experiences and Physical Health and Growth targets. Children will be better prepared to meet Kindergarten readiness skills following participation in the classes. This program is in partnership with Building Blocks and funded by Welborn Baptist Foundation.
Volunteer hours: Every Tuesday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (starting March 2022)
Working alongside cMoe Educators, volunteers will facilitate a research-evidenced based curriculum, Creative Curriculum. The volunteers will facilitate play within cMoe's exhibits while implementing this curriculum to truly create an early learning environment. Training is required and will be held virtually and self-paced.
