Inspiring Learning Through Play
At the Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe), we believe that play is more than fun—it’s essential. Children learn best when they’re curious, engaged, and free to explore the world around them. That’s why cMoe is designed as a vibrant, hands-on environment where families and caregivers can create, discover, and grow together.
Located in a historic building in the heart of Evansville, cMoe features three dynamic floors of interactive exhibits that spark imagination and inspire learning. From the splash-filled excitement of the River Adventure to outter space, to the global adventures in our Kids World Gallery, every space is built to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and connection.
Our exhibits are rooted in core learning areas—literacy, science, math, visual and performing arts, culture, and health—woven together through the power of play. Whether it’s building, climbing, pretending, or problem-solving, children at cMoe are developing lifelong skills while having a blast.
What makes cMoe special? We’re more than a museum—we’re a community hub where every child is celebrated, every family is welcomed, and every visit is a new adventure. We’re proud to be a place where learning feels like play and where play leads to learning.

Why Children's Museums?
The Children's Museum of Evansville is a member of the Association of Children's Museums , a trade organization made up of more than 500 members. Over the last decade, the number of children's museums has grown by 100% annually, reaching 30 million children and their families.
