Volunteer at cMoe

Make a Difference. Spark Joy. Grow Together.

At cMoe, volunteers are more than helpers—they’re heroes of play, learning, and community connection. Whether you're 16 or 60, and have 30 minutes or more to give, volunteering at cMoe is a chance to give back, grow personally, and be part of something joyful and impactful.

Volunteer Roles Include:

"On-Stage" working with the public:

  • Gallery Docents - Greet guests in our lobby aka Gateway to Learning, and/or Engage guests in learning and exploration in one of our gallery and exhibit areas (1-2 hours, opportunities on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Outreach Docent - Join us at an Outreach event greeting visitors, sharing information about cMoe, and/or helping with an activity (Average time commitment 1-2 hours, scheduled based on outreach events).
  • Event Support - Help bring joy to guests during one of our many events by serving as a greeter, supporting or leading an activity or answer general questions. Do you have a talent in sewing, face painting, balloon art, or other crafts - come share your creativity with cMoe children and families (Average 1-4 hours depending on need).

"Behind the Stage" working in operations:

  • Event Support - Prep decorations, invitations, set up rooms or help clean up after all the fun!
  • Program Prep - Help prep activities for in-museum and outreach events
  • Facilities Support - Help keep our galleries, exhibits, and common spaces clean and tidy for all to enjoy
  • Special Projects - Are you skilled in maintenance and building? Kids play hard and explore often so sometimes favorite exhibits need additional TLC
