December 23–28: Making an Mkeka- Kwanzaa, meaning “First Fruits,” is a celebration of life and African heritage.  Join us this week to learn about, and make, an mkeka, a woven mat used as one of the traditional symbols of the festival.

December 17–21: Making a Yule Log Candle Holder-  Yule, observed during the shortest days of the winter, is to celebrate prosperity in the coming year as the days growing longer.  This week, we’ll be making a simple Yule Log to learn about this festival and its history!
