October 15-19: Gross Out Mystery Box – Do you dare stick your hand into the Mystery Box to guess what’s inside? Get brave and explore mysterious sticky, slimy, and squishy items.

October 8-12: Guatemalan Worry Dolls – With some simple materials, we’ll be making muñeca quitapena, tiny dolls believed to help calm your worries.

September 30-October 5: Toma Todo – Join us for an easy game that will teach you some simple Spanish words.  Spin the pirinola and try to collect as many tokens as you can!

November 1-2: Tissue Paper Marigolds and Decorating Calaveras – The Aztec marigold, or cempazuchitl, is a very important inclusion to any ofrenda. As a prelude to Dia De Muertos, we’ll be making these beautiful flowers out of tissue paper.

October 29-31: Halloween Costuming Party – You can’t celebrate Halloween without a costume! Join us in the afternoon to make pieces and parts for the costume of your choice!

October 22-26: Dr. Proctor‘s Laboratory – Put on your safety glasses and step into the lab of cMoe’s own mad scientist, as we experiment with slime, curdled milk, and things that glow in the dark.

Toddler Time

November 1-2: Tissue Paper Marigolds and La Catrina Coloring Pages – The Aztec marigold, or cempazuchitl, is a very important inclusion to any ofrenda. As a prelude to Dia De Muertos, we’ll be making these beautiful flowers out of tissue paper. La Calavera Catrina (The Dapper Skeleton), is an iconic character in Mexican culture and a prominent sight in most Dia De Muertos celebrations. We’ll be coloring images of Catrina while also learning a little about her origins.
