July 23 - Based on the book Monet’s Cat, we will be learning about Monet’s garden and his love for the beautiful things in it. We will be using watercolors, chalks, and maybe other art tools to create a beautiful watery scene of fun and frolicking cats. No experience is necessary with either painting or drawing. Please wear old clothes as this could get messy.

July 30 - Based on the book Miro’s Magic Animals, we will be creating Animals, people, and magical scenes that can only come from a childlike imagination. July 30 - Rooster by Picasso, actually it is called Le Coq, and we will be creating our own. Using oil pastels and charcoal, we will be creating our own crazy version of Picasso’s famous rooster. If you like them big and monster-ish? No problem. If you like yours with an antenna and a fluffy tail? No problem. You can create with the same abandon that Picasso used. Who knows, maybe you will start a new art style with your crazy painting.
